If you hear a “Latte with two sugars,” there’s a pretty good chance you may run into Nikki Brown. Nikki is the Sales Director for our Atlanta Metropolitan Area, where she’s known as the person who brings businesses to life and helps create accolades for individuals and brands alike. She’s someone who consistently goes beyond the normal scope to deliver results.
When asked who influenced her sales style the most, Nikki shared:
“My stepdad has been the biggest influence in my sales style. He always taught me, answer your phone, be honest and treat everyone like they are your most important customer… because each and every one is important.”
That mindset is reflected in how Nikki approaches both her goals and her day-to-day work. She starts each morning by grabbing a cup of coffee and reviewing her schedule and emails so she can build a game plan for the rest of the day.
With a solid game plan in place, wins naturally follow. And for Nikki, a win can look different depending on the situation. When asked what a win looks like to her, she said:
“A win for me in a sales role is a great reputation of being a problem solver. I don’t have a preference of what machine is installed or how much money they spend monthly. If I can identify the problem and then provide a solution, that is WIN!”
While every win is worth celebrating, it doesn’t mean there aren’t occasional setbacks or moments of hesitation along the way. In sales, objections and concerns are part of the game, especially with something as impactful as breaktime solutions. We asked Nikki what she hears most often from prospects and how she goes about addressing those concerns.
Nikki shared:
“One popular pain point for clients is ‘Better Service’. To address those concerns, my first question is what does ‘service’ mean to you? Some clients want easier ordering, some want better organization, and others want timely, complete deliveries. That’s where Five Star can become the STAR of the show by delivering what we promise the customer!”
Winning and having a game plan only matters when there’s a clear goal in mind. To wrap up our conversation with Nikki, we asked what she’s most excited about in the new year and what goal she has set for 2026.
Nikki said:
“This year I am excited to sell markets in addition to coffee. I have set a personal goal; ‘I will choose presence over pressure and depth over busy’”
