Impact of Feeding the Future

At Five Star, giving back has always been about more than donations. It’s about showing up for the communities we serve and making sure people know they’re supported.

Through Feeding the Future, we’ve been able to partner with organizations across our communities to help fight food insecurity and support families who need it most. Since 2017, Feeding the Future has donated over $1.5 million to nonprofits across Five Star communities. Those donations have helped provide over 4 million meals to individuals and families in need over the years.

One of the things that we take pride in with Feeding the Future is how local it is. We currently support more than 30 organizations across 9 states, allowing us to directly impact the communities our employees, customers, and families call home.

This year, we also launched our new Ambassador Program, giving Five Star employees the opportunity to represent Feeding the Future within their local branches and communities. The program was created to help employees get even more involved in serving others and building stronger local connections. It’s already been encouraging to see so many people across the company step up with a genuine passion for helping others.

Recently, Feeding the Future also donated to the Chattanooga YCAP summer program, continuing our mission to support programs that make a real difference for children and families.

What stands out most, though, is the heart behind it all. From employees volunteering their time to leadership staying deeply committed to giving back, Feeding the Future continues to grow because of the people behind it. There’s a real passion across Five Star to serve others, and that’s what keeps this initiative moving forward.

As Feeding the Future continues to grow, so does the impact we can make together. Taking one more step in fulfilling our mission of Engaging in the fight against childhood hunger by serving the underprivileged youth in our communities.
